Sodom is a German thrash metal band that was founded in 1981 in Gelsenkirchen and is one of the “Big Four” of German thrash metal alongside Kreator, Destruction and Tankard. In their 43-year career, they have released 18 studio albums and have toured tirelessly around the world, delighting a loyal fan base in front of sold-out festival and club audiences. Their fan club, the Sodomaniacs, is also very dedicated. Their last studio album reached number 5 in the German charts. This reissue of their sixth album “Get What You Deserve” was originally released in 1994, was only available on vinyl in a limited edition and has not been available on CD for a long time. The original album was remastered under the supervision of former guitarist Andy Brings, who also created a brand new remix of the album. The deluxe box contains the new remaster and the remix of “Get What You Deserve”, the EP “Aber bitte mit Sahne!” (the predecessor EP to “Get What You Deserve” released in 1993), a 34-page softcover book with detailed new liner notes, photos and memorabilia from the band’s personal archive, a DVD with two unreleased concerts (including a live recording from Frischborn, Germany, 1993) and a poster.
