As a result, this steel offers excellent sharpness retention as well as toughness, ensuring it won’t chip as quickly as some other steel types. This makes Sleipner steel perfect for heavy-duty use. Moreover, this steel is fairly corrosion resistant thanks to the 8% chromium content, but it’s not entirely stainless.
